In October, 2006, Data Design re-launched the Sportstel teletext service on behalf of Setanta Ireland, the country's only dedicated sports broadcaster.

As well as having exclusive rights to show live Scottish Premier League soccer in Ireland, the channel broadcasts English Premiership soccer, UEFA Cup soccer and coverage from Europe’s other top leagues, including live action from Italy’s Serie A. In addition to extensive soccer coverage, Setanta Sports Ireland also broadcast every round of the 2006 Formula One World Championship live, shows live GAA Inter-county Gaelic Football and live Celtic League and French Top 14 rugby. The channel broadcasts a variety of magazine shows covering various sports, nightly horse racing and special events.
